On February 23rd, 2022 a vote was put up for the community to decide when an airdrop of Indigo tokens should be distributed. Over six thousand people participated in that vote, Indigo’s first governance proposal. The vote was overwhelmingly in favor of beginning Indigo’s Initial Token Distribution at the time of launch.
Today we’re sharing Indigo’s updated airdrop plan. After launch, we currently plan to distribute INDY to dedicated Indigo community members as a reward for being part of the community. This is one of the ways to thank community members who’ve helped guide Indigo to launch.
The Indigo team has gathered a list of Cardano wallet addresses from the community. 175,000 INDY — 0.5% of total supply — has been set aside to be allocated to these addresses.
A total of 3,490 Indigo community members are included, broken down into:
- Members who have provided particular assistance to the community, as identified by the Indigo team.
- Members who showed their interest by successfully completing each of the processes, which were:
a. Participate in Indigo’s first governance proposal (excluding identified fraudulent accounts)
b. Connect your Indigo Forum account to your Indigo Discord account
c. Complete the Indigo Quiz to become an Indigo Guru
If you’ve missed out on meeting the above criteria, not all is lost! You still have the opportunity to become involved in a second airdrop distribution where another 175,000 INDY is earmarked to be allocated to help support Indigo DAO Governance. These INDY tokens are planned to be distributed to wallets that are staked with a pool that’s part of the Cardano Single Pool Alliance (CSPA). You can find a list of all qualified CSPA pools on adafolio and Cardano Stake Pool Explorer.
Indigo is partnering with the CSPA to help boost the decentralization of the Cardano network. There’ll be additional criteria required for this airdrop distribution, and those criteria will be shared after the distribution has been initiated. If you’d like to become involved now, stake your Cardano wallet with one of the 300+ CSPA pools.
If you qualify for any distribution then your rewards will be available to redeem through the Indigo Web App. Additional instructions and details will be provided as we approach launch.
